Bass arrays are considered infinite when they cover min. 70% of the room height. It is also important that they are mirrored (ceiling perpendicular to the array). Your new room is not ideal for bass arrays.I don't know whether you have read this pape...

Zanon, at this point I do not think about specific of amplification. I more care about the transducer per location ratio and a filtration in context of it in order to get the “filling schema” of the room properly. The quality of the powerful amp will...

Mani,
I would leave the subject of DSET/horn setup for another thread and would drop a few words about Zu Druids. They are not the speakers that I would ordinary comment but since I have a local guy with Zu Druids and I had a chance to hear th...

[quote user="Paul S"] I have been surprised that you have not already pursued the Zarathustra for your multi-driver, sealed LF. From your early descriptions of both, this seemed like a natural pairing and the most likely way to go, to keep the ...

Adrian, I will be disappointed if the mixed-metal IC sounds just like the silver-coated copper I've heard, which pretty much lacked the best attributes of either metal and, further, its sound deteriorated badly, in short order. My own s...

Simply beyond any criticism. The Purepower bass was something that sold me on the very first unit in June 2007. The very first Purepower 1050 had the same type of bass. What kind bass? Well, if juts did not “improve” it and did not modified it ...

In my case, the Wright Sound WPA3.5s, with ~8 Watts on tap in A2, could not handle my 97 dB speakers; not because it was not loud enough, but because the distortion was too much of a factor too much of the time, and "bass" was bass-ically A...
